A Lull In The Action

Sorry for the break from photos - er, Gabriel photos. We have had a bloody and vomitous few days (not at the same time, at least) and will hopefully be back in business before too many more days go by. We do appreciate your patience!

Body Double?

Look like anyone we know? I found this at My Heritage, a web site that happens to have a celebrity photo matcher. Apparently, Danny is married to Candace Bergen. Well, it isn't perfect, but it's lots of fun! The guy sitting behind us in a restaurant photo was recognized as Rosanna Arquette, even though he's about 80 years old and male. Have fun, but make sure you have plenty of time, because this site is addictive.

A Birthday/Anniversary To Remember

Today, we had two special occasions to celebrate, as we do every 15 April. And no, tax day is not one of them. Today is our "dating" anniversary, although we didn't actually go on an actual date for a long time. It's the day we consider most important in our lives but is the kind of anniversary that only we can, and should, recognize annually. It is also Patty's birthday - her 31st.

The birthday girl got breakfast in bed: Starbucks mocha and pumpkin scone, her favorite breakfast. Then she went to the gym, because that is part of her perfect day. We did cake and presents after that, and had dinner at Panahar, a Bangladeshi place.

After dinner, it was time for Matt's big surprise, as in a surprise for Matt. We went to PDK, also known as Peachtree-Dekalb Airport. There were a pilot named Scott and a shiny red Robinson 44 helicopter waiting for us. They took us on a tour of Buckhead and Dunwoody, as there was a Braves game underway and airspace downtown was restricted. We flew quite low over our old apartment in Midtown, as well as Piedmont Park, Christ the King (our old church), the condo building occupied (part-time) by both Elton John and Janet Jackson and a host of other really neat stuff. We watched the sunset from the air with a bottle of champagne compliments of Air Atlanta Helicopters.

Here are some photos from our big day:

That's a lot of candles!

Gabriel kept himself entertained at the restaurant.

About to take off

Roger, Roger.

Don't call me Shirley.

What a great ride that was.

Happy Anniversary!

The Goose Says "Roar"

Gabriel now thinks that geese growl, after the way they fought for our bread during our outing to Laurel Park today. We fed the geese, played on the playground, and had a picnic with a lot of our friends from MOMS Club. Here are a couple of photos:

More Gabriel

While Chip's parents' minds might still be in South America, fortunately they were able to retain enough sense to take some video of Gabriel during his last trip to the Playground of Dreams. The Mom's Club had an Easter Egg hunt there and Gabriel had a really good time. Enjoy.
