The Great Life Of Our Buddy, Ushi

Today, we celebrate the life of our best buddy, Ushi.  Ushi was a Chinese dwarf hamster who loved sunflower seeds, cheese, and apples, loved to run on his wheel all night, loved to come give us kisses when we called him, and once let P rub him behind the ear until he fell asleep.  He made three beds, but his favorite one was the one he created out of the yarn and bits of fabric we gave him.  P always saved her best yarns for him.

We brought Ushi home on Saturday, November 25, 2006.  Today is Friday, January 15, 2010.  He lived in a mansion in the kitchen, and he had a view of the trees in the back yard.  We always talked with him in the morning when we got up, at night when we went to bed and he was just getting up for the night, and also when he got up for his mid-day snack.

Ushi was famous for how cute he was, how smart he was, for his human-sized personality, and for how much he was loved.
